NotesA big disappointment this despite the presence of Sorvino. She plays an entomologist who creates a sterile cockroach which will hopefully reduced their infestation of New York which is causing the deaths of children. The sterile cockroach which has a life of only 6 months appears to do the trick. But three years later there are strange happenings in the subway. Sorvino's cockroaches have mutated into giant creatures. The rest of the film is about killing them and finding their nest. The people who matter, that is those who we worry about might be killed, include a shoeshine man and his autistic son. Except we've lost interest as the monster cockroaches are chased around the subway. The autistic boy has a sort of sixth sense about the cockroaches and doesn't appear to be threatened by them.
